Interdisciplinary Seminars - Master Biology

As part of the key qualifications, a total of two Interdisciplinary Seminars (2 SWS, 3 CP per course) must be taken.

If there is no overlap in terms of time, you may also register for two seminars per semester.

Networking seminar (must be taken at least once) (developmental biology, molecular biology, cell biology) - this newly designed form of teaching is intended to promote the networking of knowledge. Particularly in the Master's program, where students put together their own profile, it is easy to lose the overview and general knowledge. In the networking seminar, students should develop a networked overview of a subject based on a catalog of topics and materials provided by the lecturers, as is also required for a doctorate. This is done with input from the lecturers and with a final quality check (30-minute overview discussion in small groups).
In the winter semester, the developmental biology networking seminar is offered.
Molecular biology is offered in the summer semester .

One of the two networking seminars can be replaced by courses offered by the following institutions:

Interdisciplinary seminar (networking seminar) Developmental Biology
