Exam Registration

For all courses, including practical courses, excursions and seminars, you must register for examinations in Campus Management (CAS) at least one week before the examination (or the end of the course).

Exams in the WS

Please note: the orientation examinations (BA/ANG-01 without AC) can only be repeated once and must be passed by the end of the examination period of the 3rd semester, otherwise you will lose your right to take the examination

All examinations, including internships, seminars and excursions, must be recorded in the Campus Management System (CAS) must be registered.
There are various forms of examination:

  • written examination (graded, two retakes possible)
  • Oral examination (graded, one retake possible)
  • Other types of examination (graded, one opportunity to resit, usually consists of various examination components such as a test, minutes and a presentation)
  • Coursework (always ungraded, usually practical, but can also be oral or written)

If you are unable to register for an examination, please contact Dr. Urszula Weclawski at least one week before the examination date.



Possibility of exam retakes in case of a positive test result or corona infection immediately before the exam:
We offer students who are PROVABLY unable to take an exam due to corona and wish to retake the exam in a timely manner an opportunity to take the exam in a timely manner. This can then be an oral examination or, if it affects many students, an additional written examination. The application must be submitted to the Chairman of the Examination Board, Prof. Jörg Kämper(Joerg.Kaemper∂kit.edu). The prompt repetition is explicitly linked to a CORONA infection or the positive test result on the day of the examination or, in the case of a quarantine during the examination prescribed by the Corona Ordinance, everything else does not count for such an application.
